Zhejiang Giant Group Co., Ltd， changed its name from Zhejiang Giant Holding Co., Ltd and Zhejiang Giant Elevator Co., Ltd. The predecessor of the company was Zhejiang Huzhou Elevator General Factory. Founded in 1951, the company has been engaged in the production of agricultural machinery, casting, valves and other mechanical products. We started to manufacture elevators in 1978. The company is one of the earliest elevator manufacturers in China and the founder of "hometown of elevators "of Nanxun.

The company is located in Nanxun, an ancient water town in southeastern China, has a profound history, beautiful scenery, rich culture and developed economy. It is a national 5A-level tourist scenic spot with a good reputation both at home and abroad. It is also well known as “hometown of elevators" and "hometown of flooring".

In April 2005, Giant and KONE Finland jointly established Giant KONE Elevator Co., Ltd. Benefitting from the market opportunities of the rapid development of China, the JV grew quickly and achieved remarkable performance in the industry and strong driving force in sustainable development. In August 2016, based on commercial considerations, Giant withdrew its entire share in GiantKONE and started a new journey.
